Window Shutters and Blinds

Windows are one of the most noticable features of a home.  For this reason, there is a lot of focus related to what goes on a window - on both the inside and the outside.  Window shutters and blinds are among the most noticable window accessories. 

On the outside, the most common window decorations are window shutters.  Although there are window shutters available that go on the inside, it is the outdoor window shutters that are the most common.  Window shutters come in many different sizes, styles and colors. The chosen style and color of window shutters are generally selected based on the appearance and colors of the house.  Window shutters are generally mounted on each side of a window on most of the windows of a house. 

On the interior of a home, it is window blinds that are commonly seen adorning windows.  Window blinds come in a wide variety of styles, materials, and colors.  Usually, the same type of window blind is selected for each room of a home for a consistent look.  But, there are some cases where different types of window blinds may be selected for different rooms and relate to the color scheme or theme for that specific room.  Window blinds are used for appearance as well as function.  The functions that window blinds can serve include privacy and shade.
